The European Commission has approved a €20 million state aid scheme to support companies in the agriculture, fisheries and aquaculture sectors in the Italian region of Friuli Venezia Giulia. The support was authorized under the Middle East Crisis Temporary State Aid Framework (METSAF), adopted by the Commission in April, following increases in fuel and fertilizer costs linked to the Middle East crisis.
